SD Association

The SD Association (SDA) is an American nonprofit organization that sets standards for the SD memory card format. It was founded in January 2000 by SanDisk, Panasonic, and Toshiba. By 2010, the SDA had about 1,000 member companies involved in designing and developing SD standards. Thousands of device models and products across many categories incorporate the small, removable memory cards.
